Why choose North Tenerife for coliving and remote work

North vs South: An honest comparison

If you're looking for coliving in Tenerife, choosing between north and south is one of the first decisions. Many digital nomads wonder: north or south Tenerife for work? Here's how to decide:

Climate

  • North: Greener, milder temperatures (20-25°C year-round), occasionally cloudy but less windy. If you like greenery and freshness, the north is for you.

  • South: Drier, more guaranteed sun, hotter (25-30°C), ideal if you prioritize beach and constant sunshine.

Authenticity

  • North: Traditional Canarian villages, authentic local life, less mass tourism. Canarians live here, not just tourists. La Orotava, Puerto de la Cruz and Santa Úrsula preserve their essence.

  • South: More touristically developed, perfect if you're looking for resort infrastructure and constant international atmosphere.

Cost of Living

  • North: Generally more economical. Rent, restaurants and services have more accessible prices.

  • South: Prices more tourism-oriented.

Community

  • North: Strong local community, mix of Canarians and integrated expats. Quieter and more familiar atmosphere.

  • South: Large community of expats and digital nomads, very international.

Nature

  • North: Direct access to laurel forests, ravines, hiking trails and Teide via the northern slope (the greenest). Wilder beaches.

  • South: Arid volcanic landscape, golden sand beaches (many artificial), access to Teide from the south.

Our opinion: The north is ideal if you're looking for a balance between work, nature, authenticity and community. The south is better if you prioritize constant sun and resort atmosphere.
