A Day with Friends in Las Cañadas del Teide

Living in a coliving space in Tenerife is not just about working with ocean views or enjoying the community of digital nomads. It also means having the chance to step outside any weekend and discover unique places like Teide National Park and its stunning Las Cañadas.

Recently, a group of friends from the coliving decided to put our laptops aside and go on an adventure. With light backpacks and plenty of excitement, we started hiking through Las Cañadas del Teide.

The trail welcomed us with a landscape that felt almost otherworldly: volcanic formations, rocky paths, and above us, a sky so clear it looked like it had been painted. It was there that we stumbled upon a hidden viewpoint offering a perspective of Mount Teide we had never seen before. The view left us speechless.

What made it truly special wasn’t just the scenery, but sharing the moment with people who, like us, had come to Tenerife to work remotely while seeking authentic experiences. That’s the magic of coliving in Tenerife: every day you meet new people, and suddenly you find yourself watching the sunrise in the mountains or raising a glass at a local guachinche.

And of course, after the hike we treated ourselves the local way: sitting around a table at a guachinche in Santa Úrsula, with homemade wine, rabbit in “salmorejo,” and the famous “papas arrugadas.” A 100% authentic Canary Islands experience that reminded us why we chose to live in this beautiful part of northern Tenerife.

That’s life here: a balance between remote work, nature, and community, where every outing turns into a story to remember.
